Lower portion of the pubis bone (groin) all the way down the inside of the leg to the inside bottom part of the
knee.
What are the Symptoms of a Gracilis tear?
Pain along the inner leg muscle that can travel down past the inside of the knee.
The Gracilis can also be the cause of lower back pain.
What is The Function of the Gracilis?
The gracilis muscle adducts the hip and assists knee flexion.
The Gracilis muscle also aids internal rotation of the knee joint.
Origin and Insertion of Gracilis
Origin: Inferior pubic ramus
Insertion: Pes anserinus on the tibia
