Tree Pose

Today I awoke to find myself in the perfect Tree Pose and I wondered to myself where did the names of yoga poses come from.

They must have been named inventively throughout the growth of yoga and most were probably named last century by a few leading figures in yoga.

Some definitely need reinvented though! For instance take Parivrttta Janu Sirsasana which translated roughly means Revolved Knee to Head Pose. How boring is that!
